Typical signs of an FRM3 fault

• Lights remain on permanently or individual lights do not respond
• Indicators, high beams or power windows stop working
• Central locking, PDC or the convertible roof show malfunctions
• The FRM cannot be reached through vehicle diagnostics
• The fault appeared after low voltage, a battery change or diagnostic work

For a common, repairable data fault, the original module and its vehicle data are retained. In that case, further vehicle coding is normally unnecessary after refitting. A hardware fault, a replacement module from another vehicle or extensively modified data may require additional repair, coding or a replacement module. We inform you before any additional work is carried out.

Suitable for many BMW and MINI models

FRM3 variants can be found in BMW 1 Series E81/E82/E87/E88, 3 Series E90/E91/E92/E93, X1 E84, X5 E70, X6 E71 and Z4 E89, as well as MINI R55, R56, R57, R58, R59, R60 and R61, among others. Your module's part number and hardware version are decisive – not the model series alone. If unsure, send us a clear photo of the label beforehand.

Send it in in three steps

1. Order the repair service.
2. Have the FRM3 professionally removed and package it dry and protected against impact. Include your order number, vehicle model and a short fault description.
3. Send it to Altin & Yaman GbR, Koblenzer Str. 29, 57482 Wenden, Germany. After processing, it is returned to your delivery address.

24-hour express service – every day, including weekends: We process your FRM3 on the day the parcel arrives and dispatch it back the same day. Subsequent delivery depends on the carrier's transit time. If the module cannot be repaired, we inform you of the findings.

Before removal and refitting

Removal and refitting should follow the manufacturer's instructions and be carried out by a qualified person with the vehicle electrically isolated. Please tell us about mechanical, moisture or fire damage before shipping. If the module cannot be repaired, we agree the next steps with you transparently.
