Retrofits and used parts
Retrofitted components must fit mechanically and electrically before software is adapted. For used modules, part numbers, hardware level, donor information and vehicle order matter. Radio, navigation and smartphone integration
R models can have different radio and navigation systems. Original Apple CarPlay cannot be added by coding alone to the typical factory-fitted R Series systems. Additional compatible hardware may be needed. Do not order NBT EVO CarPlay activation based only on the model name; first send a photo of the main menu and version screen. If a faulty radio or navigation unit is to be replaced with a used part, have the label and VIN checked through the BMW & MINI head-unit service first.
