BMW & MINI DME / DDE Unlock – 24h Express Mail-In Service
Mail-in service
Send to our published business addressAltin & Yaman GbR · Koblenzer Str. 29 · 57482 Wenden, Germany. Include your order number and protect the component against impact. Follow the product-specific shipment requirements.
Does your flashing tool say that the DME or DDE must be unlocked first? With our mail-in service, a supported engine control unit receives the unlock work agreed in advance. We check the actual ECU variant and software version, not just the vehicle model and year.
€129 for the confirmed unlock scope · 24-hour express processing from receipt of the agreed ECU. Shipping transit time is not included in the processing time.
What is included
- Checking the ECU identification, current software version and intended target platform.
- The bench unlock or other agreed processing route confirmed for your ECU.
- Checking communication and the processing result within the agreed test scope.
This service covers the unlock. Performance software, additional flashing-tool licences, ECU repairs, removal and installation are not included. For vehicles with two engine control units, the scope for both units is confirmed separately.
MG1, MD1 and MEVD17.2.x: check suitability first
This service is intended for suitable Bosch MG1 and MD1 ECUs, for example on B38, B48, B58, S58, B47 and B57 engines, and suitable MEVD17.2.x variants on facelift S55 models. The engine name alone is not sufficient: we first check the VIN, exact ECU identification, hardware and software version, and the flashing platform you intend to use afterwards. Different versions of the same engine family may use different ECUs; newer Vitesco variants are not automatically included in this Bosch service.
How to get started
- Send us the VIN, engine details, a clearly readable photo of the ECU label and, if applicable, the unlock message from your flashing tool.
- Tell us the intended platform and any known software updates or previous modifications.
- We confirm the service scope, price and processing route. You then send in the agreed unit.
A bench unlock is not a standard remote session using an ENET cable. Remote assistance is only an option when suitable professional equipment is available on site and the specific procedure is expressly supported.
What happens after a later software update?
A manufacturer update or a new bootloader may make further processing necessary. Depending on the procedure, existing third-party software may be overwritten; we clarify this before accepting the job. An unlock alone does not promise a power increase, road legality of subsequent software changes or compatibility with every flashing tool.

Frequently asked questions
Is the model year enough to choose the service?
No. The ECU actually installed, its manufacturing date, software version and target platform are decisive. A replacement unit may differ from the vehicle's original specification.
Will every app be compatible after the unlock?
No. Bench processing, OBD access and platform-specific extensions are not the same thing. We confirm the agreed target scope before accepting the job.
