BMW ATM / TCB SIM transfer – mail-in service

Is your BMW telematics module faulty, and do you want to use a compatible used replacement? We transfer the suitable original SIM/eSIM component from your faulty ATM or TCB module to a compatible replacement module. The aim is to retain or restore the existing vehicle association and ConnectedDrive functions that remain available.

€99 for SIM transfer only · €140 for SIM transfer including coding. Select the required service option on the product. Processing takes 24–48 hours from receipt of both agreed modules; shipping transit time is additional.

What is included

• Checking the VIN, fault description and part numbers of both telematics modules.
• Careful desoldering and transfer of the suitable original SIM/eSIM component.
• Inspection of the modified board area and solder joints.
• Return of the supplied modules after the agreed work.

The original SIM/eSIM component must still work and be suitable for transfer. Transferring a chip destroyed by water damage or corrosion will not repair it. The replacement unit must be technically compatible and functional in the required areas; a similar housing alone is not enough.

How the mail-in service works

First send us your VIN, fault description and clear photos of the labels on the original and replacement units. Ideally, we check compatibility before you buy the used part. Once agreed, send both modules securely packed with your order number to: Altin & Yaman GbR, Koblenzer Straße 29, 57482 Wenden, Germany.

Please check any backup battery and its condition with us before shipping. Do not simply ship modules with a damaged or abnormal battery; we will agree the permitted transport method beforehand.

SIM transfer only – €99: transfer of the suitable original SIM/eSIM component and inspection of the soldering; coding is not included. SIM transfer including coding – €140: the same SIM transfer plus the coding agreed for the confirmed case. We first check the VIN, exact part numbers, hardware and software versions of both modules. A replacement module and removal or installation in the vehicle are not included. Additional programming, service setup or new activations are not automatically included. A final in-vehicle function and service check after reinstallation is still required.

Frequently asked questions

Will all functions be retained?

Retaining existing functions is the aim. A SIM transfer alone does not guarantee full restoration: hardware, vehicle configuration, software and the availability of subscribed services must also match. Additional ConnectedDrive subscriptions or new activations are not included.

Can you also work on a TCU or ATM2?

This offer concerns telematics modules, not transmission control units. The abbreviation TCU is used in different ways. We assess ATM2 and other generations individually using their exact part numbers; they are not included as a general promise.

Does this turn a 3G module into a 4G or 5G module?

No. A SIM transfer does not change the supported cellular technology or reactivate discontinued networks or services.
