BMW NBT EVO RAM Upgrade from 2 to 4 GB – Mail-In Service

Upgrade an NBT EVO head unit from 2 GB to 4 GB of RAM: On suitable hardware, we increase the memory in your existing head unit. This mail-in service is a physical hardware modification, separate from an ID4-to-ID6 software flash.

€200 for the RAM hardware upgrade only · processing in 2–3 days from receipt of the agreed head unit. Shipping transit time is additional. An ID4-to-ID6 flash, CarPlay activation, map updates and licences are not included.

What the service covers

• A preliminary compatibility check using the unit label and hardware version.
• The agreed memory upgrade on a suitable navigation head unit.
• Checking that the unit starts and recognises the memory on the test bench.

If required, an additional ID4-to-ID6 flash with CarPlay can be agreed to suit the unit. A software upgrade, CarPlay, maps and licences are not automatically included in the RAM-only service.

How it works

Send the VIN, a photo of the unit label and photos of the main menu and software version. After we confirm the scope and price, you send in the removed head unit. A RAM upgrade cannot be carried out remotely.

Repeated restarts can have other causes. A memory upgrade is therefore not a blanket repair promise and does not turn NBT EVO into MGU. Removal, installation and the repair of other faults are not included.

Frequently asked questions

Is this already included in the standard ID4-to-ID6 flash?

No. The existing software-flash service and the physical RAM upgrade are separate services.

Will more RAM fix every restart problem?

No. If the unit is faulty, the cause must first be identified.
